Flaming is a complicated and multi-stage technological process in which the surface of natural stone is subjected to high temperature (approx. 1300 degrees Celsius). A skilfully performed flame treatment causes small fragments of rock to chip off the top (several millimetres) layer of granite tiles. As a result, the floor is peeled off, rough, but at the same time flat. In terms of visual values, it is closest to a naturally worn stone, completely matt, with a delicate colour saturation. However, the most important features of flamed tiles are their exceptional durability and strength as well as excellent anti-slip parameters. It is the roughness of flamed granite tiles that has made them the number one choice in buildings and spaces with increased security requirements.
